Big drop in pump prices Thursday in the Bridge City

Nov 5, 2026 | 5:10 PM

Drivers in Bridge City woke up to a nice surprise Thursday morning – cheaper gas prices, at some stations by as much as 20-cents-a-litre.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices around the city, mid-morning, hovered anywhere from 155.9-cents-per-litre down to a $132.9.

In relation, the average price at the pump in Calgary this morning was around $1.38 and under $1.30 in the provincial capital.

One strong indicator might be a $10-per-barrel fall in the price of Western Texas Crude, which was trading at $100-a-barrel at the beginning of the week; this morning, coming in just over $90-a-barrel.
