Boys and girls club receive $1000 donation in fitness centre grand opening

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Lethbridge received a $1000 cheque last night as part of the grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting by Planet Fitness of its new club off Mayor Magrath Drive.

“We changed our names back in 2021 as a federation, so all of our boys and girls clubs across Canada are now known as BGC,” explains Nicole Van Langen, Chief Advancement Officer at BGC Southern Alberta.

So, whatever community they’re working in and, in our case, it’s BGC Southern Alberta.

Van Langen says the donation made by Planet Fitness will go towards afterschool programs and events put on by BGC, generally, for kids from ages 12 thru 18.
