Python on the lam: slithery fugitive named Lady gives experts the slip
MONTREAL — It appears luck is still on Lady’s side.
Montreal officials said Thursday a royal python by the name of “Lady” was still on the loose after escaping from a residence a week ago and that it could be several days before it is captured.
The snake, which is more than one metre long, was last spotted Monday and likely ate that day, meaning she won’t need to eat again for a little while.
Authorities believed they had cornered it in a crack in a wall in a home Wednesday, but it was not there upon further inspection.
