Whoop-Up 2016 A Great Success

LETHBRIDGE – Hundreds of families, ride goers, rodeo enthusiasts and music lovers came out to the Whoop-Up Days 2016.

This year, the fair brought 15 new activities and entertainment from Kim Mitchell, the Standstills, Monster Truck, Jason Blaine and more.

Doug Kryzanowski, Exhibition Park Manager, said that despite inclement weather for the first few days, the crowd thoroughly enjoyed the midway and applauded the new format for the rodeo.

“We are considering everything a great success. Previous to this year, we were with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association and we just felt that we were too restricted. This gave us our autonomy to do a Canada vs USA approach. It was a lot of action right until the bitter end with winner taking all.”
