Hot bats help Bulls to season-opening win

BROOKS – Alex Bishop drove in five runs as the Lethbridge Bulls opened their Western Major Baseball League season with an 18-9 road victory over the Brooks Bombers Thursday, June 1.
Bishop homered twice, and Dylan Flasch and Carter Witbeck also went deep for the Bulls, with four hits each.
Winning pitcher Greg Hollman allowed three runs on eight hits in five innings, for an earned-run average of 3.60.
Next up for the Bulls is their home opener, Friday, June 2, as they begin a three-game series against the Fort McMurray Giants. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at Spitz Stadium.
