UPDATE: Fire ban in the River Valley now in effect

LETHBRIDGE – UPDATE 12:00 p.m. – The City of Lethbridge is correcting a statement sent to media earlier this morning (May 25) regarding an open fire ban. 

In fact, the open fire ban applies to open fires, INCLUDING those at all picnic sites and recreational areas, effective immediately.

Private residences are NOT included in the ban, provided the fire pits used comply with required safety regulations.
