Suspects Wanted in Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump Sign Vandalism

FORT MACLEOD – Police are after the suspect(s) that vandalized the welcome sign at the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump National Historic Site earlier this month.

Between July 29 and August 3, the unknown person(s) used a firearm to shoot holes in the sign, west of Fort Macleod. It is the third time this has happened in the past two years. 

The sign is valued at approximately $200,000.

Fort Macleod RCMP ask that any information in regard to the incident be given to them by calling 403-553-7200, or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
