Search warrants in Claresholm result in four arrests

CLARESHOLM —  The RCMP effort to target prolific offenders and reduce rural crime has continues to payoff.
 
Officers were joined by the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team (CRT) on Wednesday, as they executed outstanding arrest warrants at a number homes in Claresholm

At one residence, they located and arrested two men and a female young offender, all from Claresholm.

Tyler Cappis, aged 22,  was arrested on a warrant for uninsured motor vehicle under the Traffic Safety Act.

Kyle Schuiling, aged 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Recognizance and is charged with two additional counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.

The young Offender was wanted on a warrant for three charges of failing to comply with an Undertaking and two charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, crystal meth and cannabis.

In an unrelated vehicle stop, the team executed an outstanding warrant on 22 year old Chandler Toth of Claresholm, on charges of Forcible Confinement, Causing Unnecessary Injury to animals and Failing to Appear in court.

All have been released to appear in court in December except Schuiling, who remains in custody awaiting a judicial interim release hearing.
