LETHBRIDGE – It appears Lethbridge may not escape the worst of a March snowstorm after all.
The snowfall warning was expanded Thursday night, Mar. 2, to include the Lethbridge-Taber and Fort Macleod-Cardston-Blood Reserve regions. All of southern Alberta is now included in the warning.
Most regions are being told to expect 10-20 cm by the time the system moves out Sunday. Some localized areas could see 30 cm, or a foot of snow.
The snow is expected to begin in Lethbridge Friday morning. So far, most area highways have not been affected, with the exception of the Pincher Creek area. Highway 3 between Burmis and Brocket was said to be partly snow-covered, with drifting snow. Highway 22 north of Lundbreck was described as snow-covered.
