Three-vehicle crash near Pincher Creek claims life of 72-year-old

PINCHER CREEK – A collision between two pickup trucks and a semi has claimed the life of a 72-year-old man.
The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. RCMP from Pincher Creek and Piikani Nation were called to the intersection of Highway 507 and Range Road 27-2, approximately 30 km east of Pincher Creek.
According to police, the man who died was a passenger in one of the pickup trucks, and he succumbed to his injuries while being taken to hospital. The driver of the truck, a 66-year-old woman, was also seriously injured. Neither of the other two drivers was hurt.
RCMP said officers were still investigating the cause of the crash. No names have been released.
