Hurricanes and Hitmen down to a best of three following Calgary’s 5-2 win in Game 4
CALGARY, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes are going to be looking for some home cooking when they return home for Game 5 of their opening round playoff series, following a second straight loss in Calgary, this time a 5-2 defeat to the Hitmen on Thursday, Mar. 28.
It was a back and forth affair, but for a second consecutive game, the Hitmen got the jump on the Hurricanes early.
Riley Stotts put the puck towards the net in tight, and it deflected off of Lethbridge defenceman Alex Cotton’s skate and past Carl Tetachuk to give the Hitmen a 1-0 lead at 3:28.
The Hurricanes pushed hard from that point, and even had a couple of powerplays, but couldn’t manage to beat Hitmen goaltender Jack McNaughton in the 1st period.
