Five charged after police find drugs, stolen property while executing search warrant
LETHBRIDGE – Three men and two women are facing charges in connection with the execution of a search warrant at a downtown residence Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 25.
The Lethbridge Police Service reports that around 2:45 p.m., members of the Downtown Policing Unit executed the search the warrant along the 600 block of 8 Street South, with support from patrols, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit and Priority Crimes Unit.
Police reportedly seized heroin and methamphetamine, along with approximately $15,000 worth of stolen property, which included tools, high-end bikes, electronics, over 100 backpacks and purses, credit cards, cheques, and other items that police say are consistent with property taken in car prowlings and then traded for drugs.
