Man accused of threatening LPS members, Nenshi, Harper

CALGARY – A Three Hills man faces charges of uttering threats on Facebook against targets that include members of the Lethbridge Police Service.

RCMP arrested 31-year-old Dexter Shea on Sunday, Feb. 18, one day after information was passed on to them from the Calgary Police Service. According to police, Shea was already on probation for previous threat charges.

Shea is accused of making threats against LPS members, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, and former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Charges include uttering threats and breach of probation.

He was remanded in custody and made a court appearance by closed-circuit television in Strathmore Provincial Court Tuesday, Feb. 20.
