Local wildlife documentary to support Nature Centre’s Outdoor Learning Classroom and Amphitheatre project
LETHBRIDGE – A new documentary by a local filmmaker will try to connect people with nature over a 43-minute journey through the diverse wildlife in Lethbridge’s river valley.
The Friends of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society will present the official release of “Wildlife of the Oldman River Valley” filmed by Rick Andrews on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. at the Lethbridge Public Library’s main branch.
All proceeds from the special event will go towards supporting of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre’s Outdoor Learning Classroom and Amphitheatre project and will feature a screening of the film, Q&A with wildlife photographer and filmmaker Rick Andrews, and an opportunity to purchase a copy of the Wildlife of the Oldman River Valley DVD.
Andrews says through his photography and filmmaking, he’s always tried to connect people to our natural world because quite often we will only care about the things that we are emotionally connected to.
