University of Lethbridge ranks as one of the top 20 party universities in Canada according to Maclean’s Magazine

LETHBRIDGE –  It’s something many university students enjoy after a long, hard week of studying, writing papers, and exams: going out to party hard.
 
According to a Macleans Magazine 2017 poll of the Canada’s top party schools, the U of L ranks #18 out of 47, with students engaging in festivities an average of 3.29 hours per week.
 
Maclean’s surveyed more than 17,000 students across the country in late 2016, and asked them how much time they spent partying each week.
 
More than 15,000 students answered.
 
The magazine says it tallied the total party hours for each school and divided it by the number of respondents. No school with less than 100 responses was ranked.
 
The average number of hours for both sexes was 3.27 hours per week, and just over one third of respondents said they didn’t party at all.
 
St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish Nova Scotia came out on top, with just over 8 hours spent partying, and in last place was York University in Toronto, with only 1.82 hours of celebration time per week.
 
The University of Alberta came in at #37, Mount Royal University at #39, and The University of Calgary was near the bottom of the list at #43. http://www.macleans.ca/education/canadas-top-party-schools-2017/
