Hurricanes outworked in 4-1 loss to Ice
LETHBRIDGE – Despite coming into the game ranked dead last in the WHL, the Kootenay Ice looked like the better team for a majority of a 4-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Wednesday night (Nov. 16).
The Hurricanes came out flat, giving up 14 shots in the opening frame and needing goaltender Stuart Skinner to stand strong to keep things scoreless.
Kootenay’s Zak Zborosky picked the game’s first goal at the 16:37 mark of the second period, before going on to score the eventual game winner 4:12 into the third.
The Hurricanes did show some life on a couple of second period power-plays, but weren’t able to sustain pressure in Kootenay’s end until late in the third.
