Fatal Dirt Biking Incident Deemed Non-Suspicious by Police

DIAMOND CITY –  RCMP say a dirt biking collision north of Lethbridge has claimed the life of a 16-year old male.

The incident happened on August 7 at 4:44-pm, on a private property just east of Diamond City. The victim was with three other riders, and crashed while attempting to navigate steep terrain.

The teen was found unconscious when police arrived on scene. Lethbridge EMS and Coalhurst Fire and Rescue transported him to Chinook Regional Hospital, where he was later airlifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital in Calgary.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning (Aug 10).
