LETHBRIDGE – For a 24th year, Angel Tree for Kids will be making sure no child is left out at Christmas.

Lethbridge Family Services was joined by 1st Choice Savings, Mayor Chris Spearman, and personalities from Country 95.5 and B93.3 to launch this year’s event, with an assembly at Dr. Gerald B. Probe School. 1st Choice made a $2,000 donation to kick things off.

Last year the campaign raised $17,000 in cash, in addition to gifts that together resulted in $100,000 worth of gift bundles. More than 1,700 kids benefited, receiving a gift bundle worth $50-$60. Referral agencies submit gift request forms on behalf of their clients.

Lethbridge Family Services covers a service area that extends to Bow Island to the east, the B.C. boundary to the west, the U.S. border to the south, and Vauxhall to the north.
