Police searching for suspects after employees injured in armed robbery

LETHBRIDGE – An investigation has been launched by the Lethbridge Police Service into an armed robbery at a northside gas station that left two employees with injuries.

Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, at 2:34 a.m., LPS responded to the Gas King along the 900 block of 5 Avenue North and arrived to find two injured male employees.

According to police, two unknown men wearing masks and carrying weapons entered the store and demanded cash. One of the males then assaulted the employees, and an undisclosed amount of money was turned over to the suspects before they fled the scene.

Police searched the area but were not able to find either suspect.

Meanwhile, the two victims were taken to hospital, where they were treated and released.
