LETHBRIDGE – A 39-year-old man facing a manslaughter charge is back in custody.

Lethbridge Police say James Gurney was found to be in breach of conditions during a curfew check Sunday, Nov. 13. Early Monday he was arrested on the Blood reserve by Blood Tribe police.

Gurney appeared in court Monday on a charge of breaching conditions, however, because his lawyer is currently out of the city, the matter was adjourned to Friday, Nov. 18. Gurney will remain in custody until then.

According to police he had been released on a recognizance Oct. 6, with a number of conditions including a requirement that he live at an approved residence and abide by a curfew.
