Housing Starts on the Decline Again in July

LETHBRIDGE – All Lethbridge housing starts suffered a slight drop in July.
There was a total of 48 single and multi-family home starts, compared to 60 from the same month last year. Single family dropped by 11 to 41, and multi-family were almost even from eight down to seven.
Year to date figures continue to trail behind in Lethbridge. At this time last year, there was a total of 515 housing starts compared to only 355 at the end of this July.
However, Medicine Hat saw an increase in home starts in July. Multi-family starts took the biggest jump from six up to 27, with both single and multi-family totalling at 37.
