Three People Charged Following High Risk Stop

LETHBRIDGE -Two people from Champion, along with a man from Lethbridge have been charged following a high risk police stop on Sunday.

Around 1pm, police responded to a complaint of three people in a vehicle having weapons.

Police caught up with them in the 400 block of 13th Street North, where the occupants were arrested.

The vehicle was searched, but no weapons were found. However, Police did find marihuana, methamphetamine and $2,065 cash.

All three people were taken into custody. 54-year-old Ronald Quirion of Champion, 29-year-old Susan Wells of Champion and 45-year-old Leonard Brave Rock of Lethbridge have been charged with various criminal offences including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of stolen property.
