Annual Festival Raising Awareness About Local Homelessness

LETHBRIDGE – The fifth annual Shelter Me! Party in the Park Festival will be held Saturday (July 30) in Galt Gardens from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Canadian Coalition of Municipalities Against Racism and Discrimination, in partnership with McMan Youth Services, will have various booths set up to educate the community on how to be more inclusive towards those most vulnerable in the community.

The free family event will also feature live-local entertainment, a barbecue, kids games and crafts, bouncy castles and a dunk tank.

All money raised from the event will go towards providing a Christmas dinner to individuals experiencing homelessness
