Terry Fox supporters preparing to walk, run or ride at Lethbridge’s annual Terry Fox Run
LETHBRIDGE – The Terry Fox Run in Lethbridge is taking place on Sunday, Sept. 16, and participants have been gearing up to raise money for cancer research and help keep Terry Fox’s dream alive all week.
Registration starts at 11 a.m. at the Kiwanis Picnic Shelter at Henderson Lake. That will be followed by a short ceremony, then the run begins and a barbeque will finish the day off.
Lethbridge West MLA Shannon Phillips and Lethbridge East MLA Maria Fitzpatrick will be on hand for the event, as well as Terry Fox’s uncle.
Since it’s calling for rain and cooler temperatures on Sunday, organizers are asking if any Lethbridge businesses would be willing to donate coffee or hot chocolate for the event to contact them at lethbridgeterryfoxrun@gmail.com.
