Warning to Pet Owners Amid Unconfirmed Reports of Attempted Poisonings

Jun 20, 2016 | 4:11 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge Regulatory Services are reminding you to keep a close eye on your pets, after unconfirmed reports of attempted dog poisonings in the city.

Lethbridge Animal Services noted the reports of their Facebook page, saying they occurred in the Uplands and Blackwolf areas.

City officials say they haven’t received any formal complaints at this time, but acknowledged that the advice given on the post is sound and something you should follow.

Pet owners should check their yard often to make sure it’s safe and secure. If you think your pet may have ingested poison, seek veterinary help immediately. You should also contact the Lethbridge Police Service if you notice any suspicious activity.
