Western Innovation Initiative accepting applications
OTTAWA – The federal government is looking to help small and medium-sized enterprises in Western Canada grow and move their innovative technologies from the later stages of research and development to the global marketplace.
Calls for proposals for the Western Economic Diversification Canada’s Western Innovation Initiative were launched today by Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains.
Applications will be accepted until Nov. 29.
Bains says getting new products into the hands of consumers is a challenge for entrepreneurs.
