Multiple charges pending after vehicle stolen from Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE – One man is facing a string of charges after astealing a vehicle from Lethbridge on Wednesday, November 2.

That day, Claresholm RCMP were advised by Picture Butte RCMP that a vehicle was heading toward town that was stolen earlier in the afternoon.
 
Police say it was being driven erratically and had even gone into the ditch at one point. They eventually caught up with the vehicle south of Barons, along Highway 23.
 
Timothy Corey Scout has since been remanded into custody on a number of criminal code charges, waiting to appear in Fort MacLeod Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 9.
 
He is also facing additional charges from Lethbridge Police after allegedly being involved in other thefts from vehicles and attempting to steal another vehicle. Police allege that Scout originally failed to stop when located, but deemed it was unsafe to initiate a pursuit with the large volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic at the time.
 
Scout was to appear in court on those charges Thursday, November 3.
