Local Hockey Players Needed in the Fight Against Cancer
LETHBRIDGE – Registration has opened for the fourth annual Face Off Against Cancer in Lethbridge.
The 24-hour hockey game has raised more than $100,000 in our city since it started in 2013, with this year’s goal set at $50,000.
Money raised from the event goes towards cancer research, education regarding cancer prevention and support for those dealing with the disease right here in our city.
“Lethbridge in general has been such a huge supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society and a huge supporter of the fight against cancer,” noted Lindsay French with the Canadian Cancer Society. “Every person who gets involved is directly helping to fund cancer research, support programs and advocacy groups. Every dollar raised helps to fight back.”
