ALBERTA – The Alberta government is extending the deadline for cutting hay along highways.

Farmers now have an additional two months to cut and remove hay from provincial highway right-of-ways for personal use.

The previous deadline was July 15th, but that has now been moved to September 15th for the Lethbridge region.

Anyone interested in cutting hay along the highway right-of-ways will need to apply for a permit. They will be issued up to August 15th.
