Drop in Lethbridge Housing Starts in May

LETHBRIDGE – Housing starts continue to be down in Lethbridge.

Last month, there were a total of 54 housing starts recorded in the city, which is down from 71 in May of 2015. This includes a drop in both single and multi-family units last month.

Looking at year-to-date figures, Lethbridge has recorded 266 starts this year, which is below this time last year where we were at 316.

It’s a similar scene in Medicine Hat, where year-to-date figures are about 30 starts below this time in 2015.
