Lethbridge Animal Rescue Organizations Given New Funding Opportunity
LETHBRIDGE – The City’s Animal Welfare Committee has established a new grant for animal rescue organizations in the area.
Established in 2014, the committee advises city council on issues related to abandoned and feral animals in Lethbridge.
The new grant will award up to $5,000 to eligible organizations, to cover non-veterinary costs. The money is meant to be used for animal care supplies, like food, shelter structures, litter, blankets, toys, leashes and collars.
A total of $10,000 in grants will be provided each year, and organizations must use the funding within 12 months of receiving it. The Animal Welfare Committee will oversee the application process.
