Woman faces Second Degree Murder Charge in Connection with West Side Slaying
LETHBRIDGE – A 54 year old has been charged in connection with the murder of her intimate partner, Frances Candice Little Light.
Around 5:15-pm on February 7, 2016, police responded to a report that a woman had been severely injured in an apartment complex along the 100 block of Columbia Boulevard. They located the 56-year old victim inside her apartment, and she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Her death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary.
An investigation determined Little Light and the accused were intimate partners and had lived together in the apartment where the body was found. Police recovered the weapon used in the incident a short distance from the apartment complex.
