New parking cards and two free parking days for downtown shoppers

LETHBRIDGE —  The city is introducing new parking incentives to encourage  downtown visits for Christmas shopping.

Free parking is slated for two Fridays.  The first free day will be on Friday, Nov 16, to coincide with the Bright Lights Festival.   As well, the December 7th free parking will be in conjunction with the Downtown BRZ  First Friday event.  All downtown customer parking will be free these days.

The City is also offering another payment option for downtown parking with the introduction of new prepaid parking cards. The reloadable cards can be used at any downtown parking kiosk and with the “Way to Park” mobile app.

The new card can be used by those who don’t use credit cards, or as an alternative to carrying cash
