Two Lethbridge women killed in collision near Nobleford

Nobleford – Two Lethbridge residents were killed in a two-vehicle collision around 7:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, on Highway 519 near Range Road 242.
According to Fort Macleod RCMP, a Honda Civic was travelling westbound on 519 when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a GMC Sierra Truck. Police say the two women in the car died at the scene, while the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
While the cause of the collision remains under investigation, police have noted that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors.
Traffic was temporarily rerouted around the area, however, it has since been restored.
