CALGARY – Travel Alberta is holding a series of town halls across the province to promote new tools and partnerships with the tourism industry called Team Alberta.

Shelly Grollmuss, VP of industry development at Travel Alberta, said the town halls are a chance to sell Alberta not only to the world at large, but Albertans as well.

“They are an opportunity to participate and collaborate as Team Alberta to create compelling invitations,” she said.

One of the Team Alberta initiatives being promoted is the new Alberta Tourism Information System.

The ATIS is designed to be a digital hub for industry partners to post profiles of attractions and and deals or specials they may have.

Royce Chwin, President and CEO of Travel Alberta said the Team Alberta initiative is about collaboration.

“It’s about working together for a common goal to inspire travellers to visit here and visit now.”

The Lethbridge town hall will take place May 12 at the Lethbridge Lodge from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

There is no cost to attend, but those interested are asked to register in advance. To register, visit industry.travelalberta.com/events/town-halls-2016 and click on the Lethbridge event.
