LETHBRIDGE:   After just two days of crude oil prices sitting above $40 a barrel, the pump price may be about to take a corresponding hike as well. The price difference is as much as 14-cents a litre around the city.

As of the noon hour on Tuesday, pump prices in Lethbridge could be had for as low as 81.9 cents a litre at Costco, to a high of 95.9 at some Esso, Shell and Safeway stations, with many stations remaining in the 86-cent range, according to GasBuddy.com.

By comparison, pump prices in Calgary ranged from a low of 79.9 to a high of 95.9, while Edmonton prices were between 76.9 and 92.4.

“Tomorrow’s Gas Price Today” website had predicted a price hike of four to five cents a litre on the prairies as of Monday, April 11th.  However, in some case, stations have hiked their prices above that.
