Warrant issued for arrest in connection with a stabbing

LETHBRIDGE –  Police have charged a 35-year-old woman with aggravated assault and issued a warrant for her arrest in relation to a stabbing on April 14.

Around 2:30 on that afternoon, police responded to an incident along the 900 block of 8 Avenue South. Officers located an injured 33-year old man, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  

Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Section, it was determined the victim and accused, who are known to each other, were involved in an argument that resulted in the man being stabbed.

Janice Grant is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.  Her whereabouts are unknown and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
