Coaldale man injured in fatal collision being investigated Gleichen RCMP

GLEICHEN – A 59-year old woman from Calgary is dead, and a 40-year old man from Coaldale suffered minor injuries after their vehicles collided east of Calgary Saturday evening (July 29).

Police say the accident occured on Hwy 1 around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy 842, when a west bound SUV driven by the woman hit a north bound truck driven by the man.

Next of kin have been notified and police are still investigating the cause of the collision.

No names have been released.
