PINCHER CREEK:  Pincher Creek Fire and EMS were called out to a truck fire Tuesday morning which destroyed the vehicle.

Emergency crews were called out about 11:40, to a vehicle fire about 20-kilometres south of Pincher Creek on Highway-6.

RCMP Constable Curwin says the incident was caused by a mechanical failure.

There had been two individuals in the truck at the time of the incident, who were forced out of the vehicle while it was still moving. One of the men suffered injuries to his lower body and was transported to hospital by a good samaritan who stopped to help out.

Pincher Creek RCMP are investigating the incident.
