LETHBRIDGE – Families can celebrate the arrival of spring with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre on Friday.

Staff and volunteers will be hosting Spring Nature Fest from 1 to 5 p.m.

“The river valley is a perfect place to celebrate the arrival of spring,” says Jessica Deacon-Rogers with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. “We are excited to be partnering with Alberta Parks, the Oldman Watershed Council, Synergy Permaculture and Urban Farms, the Lethbridge Sustainable Living Association and the Buskers Association of Lethbridge to offer this free festival for our community.”

The event will include a mix of indoor and outdoor activities including crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, face painting, and live music.

There’s an opportunity to learn about geocaching, with two sessions scheduled from 2:00 to 2:45 and from 4:00 to 4:45.

You can also enjoy a hot dog cooked on a solar oven BBQ for $3, that also includes juice and a cookie.
