Details announced for Prentice memorial

CALGARY – People unable to attend the planned state memorial for Jim Prentice will be able to see it online.

The province says a live webstream for the former premier’s memorial will be available Friday, Oct. 28. The service starts at 11 a.m. at Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary.

People wanting to attend in person should be at the north entrance of the auditorium starting at 9:45 a.m. which is when tickets will be distributed. A limited amount of parking will be available, but there is a C-Train station nearby as well.

Prentice’s family has asked for donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Children’s Cottage Society.

Prentice was one of four people killed in a plane crash Oct. 13 near Kelowna.
