Mobile Mammogram Service to Visit Rural Communities

Feb 28, 2016 | 9:13 AM

CARDSTON – Alberta Health Services will be bringing a mobile mammography service to the Cardston Health Centre late next month.

Mammograms are a critical test especially for women between the ages of 50 and 74, who are the most at risk for developing breast cancer. However, those living in rural communities don’t typically have ready access to testing.

The Screen Test program will make its Cardston stop from March 22nd to the 24th, and another on the 28th.

It’ll also be making stops in Pincher Creek, Brocket, Fort Mcleod and other surrounding communities throughout the March and into April. To find a full schedule of mobile sites, visit http://www.screeningforlife.ca/screentest.
