Oliver Building Up for Bids by City
LETHBRIDGE – A parcel of land in the downtown is up for bids by the City of Lethbridge.
The century-old Oliver Building was surrendered to the city in 2014 as a property tax settlement, and has been vacant for a number of years. An assessment determined it was too damaged for repairs.
The city had to re-assess it’s plan for the land after a Request for Proposals was unsuccessful in July 2015.
The land located at 316 – 5 Street South is currently being re-zoned to a Direct Control District. This will better capture the vision of the Heart of Our City Master Plan and Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan.
