City Council Supports Remaining Highway Three Twinning
LETHBRIDGE – The Highway 3 Economic Development Association will re-new its efforts to get the remaining 220 kilometers of Highway 3 twinned.
Lethbridge City Council will write a letter of support for the Town of Pincher Creek to support the Alberta Community Partnership (ACP) Inter-Municipal Collaboration provincial grant appplication.
A request from the association was made that all communities along the highway make a resolution to support the application.
“We hope it’ll be part of the provincial government’s infrastructure plan. They’ve identified that they have $4.5-billion in unallocated capital, and we hope that Highway 3 will be part of that,” explained Mayor Chris Spearman.
