Alberta RCMP Need Public help Locating Cranbrook, B.C.Home Invasion Suspect

CRANBROOK:  RCMP have one man in custody with more arrests anticipated after a home invasion shooting that took place in Cranbrook last week, leaving one man in hospital.

The in depth investigation went over borders, leading the RCMP to Blairmore, where two men arrived at the Crowsnest Pass hospital on February 4th.

One man was suffering from a gunshot wound.

A second man was arrested and a vehicle was seized in relation to the Cranbrook shooting.

A search of the vehicle led police to seize two handguns believed to be evidence related to the incident.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 24-year old Michael Andres Salvador-Bejarano, who is believed to be in the Calgary area.

“This is a clear example of the dedication your local RCMP members exhibit on a regular basis; in this particular matter, the members of the General Investigation Section and Crime Reduction Unit. These types of serious incidents are not typical in the Cranbrook area, and our resolve paints a clear message to those who want to run amok in our area. You will be brought to justice and this community will not tolerate this type of activity. The Cranbrook RCMP wishes to thank the communities we serve for your patience and your assistance in dealing with this matter,” stated Cranbrook RCMP Staff Sergeant, Hector Lee
