LETHBRIDGE – The 5th annual Polar Plunge this past weekend raised almost $18,000 for Special Olympics.

The money raised far exceeded their goal of $10,000, thanks to the generosity of the community.

There were 76 plungers that braved the chilly water and jumped into Nicholas Sheran Lake during the event, which was hosted by Lethbridge Police and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
