Lethbridge County Approves New Schedule of Fees

LETHBRIDGE – A new schedule of fees has been passed by Lethbridge County.

These include increases in potable water and sanitary sewer service rates, garbage street-side pick up, road haul use agreements, and airport fees.

A 5 per cent increase in water service rates reflect the cost of water and operation and maintenance of the County’s water system. The increase will offset the operating deficit from the water system and decrease the reliance on tax dollars.

Reeve Lorne Hickey points out that increases are normally needed annually to uphold the level of service provided by the County.
