LETHBRIDGE – It’s Thanksgiving Monday in Lethbridge, and around the country, and a handful of city buildings are closed and services not running.

City Hall and the Stafford Centre are closed today, with both buildings set to reopen as usual tomorrow (Oct. 9) at 8 a.m.

The Lethbridge Animal Shelter, Fritz Sick & Nicholas Sheran Pools are closed and there’s no public skating at any city arenas around town today.

All of the Lethbridge Public Library branches, the Main Branch, the Crossings Branch and the Bookmobile, are closed today as well but materials that are due can be returned through the book drops outside the buildings.

Lethbridge Transit, including its Customer Service Centre, is closed and buses will not be running today. The ACCESS-A-Ride office will also be closed while ACCESS-A-Ride buses will be running on a holiday service schedule.

Not everything is closed today however, as the Galt Museum and Archives is open for Thanksgiving Monday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Residential garbage collection will not be affected by the holiday, with the three Yard Waste Sites remaining open but the Waste & Recycling Centre is closed.
