Bulls dominated by Mavs in Game 4, as Medicine Hat take Western Division Semi-final

LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Bulls were thumped 17-4 by the Medicine Hat Mavericks in Game 4 at Spitz Stadium on Friday, Aug. 3, ending their season.

The Mavericks will now face the Edmonton Prospects for the Divisional Crown.

Medicine Hat took command of Game 4 with a six-run third inning and then added seven more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a grand slam by Colton Wright to secure the win over the Bulls.

The game featured plenty of offence as the teams combined for 33 hits including three home runs and 10 doubles.

Jared Libke earned the win on the mound for the Mavericks. He pitched five full innings, allowing eight hits, three runs, three errors and striking out two batters.

Bryce Oriold-Fraser took the loss for the Bulls.
