Former Stirling School Secretary pleads guilty to theft over $5,000
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A former secretary at the Stirling pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 School pleaded guilty on Thursday May 2, to stealing nearly $90,000 in total in both school bank deposits, and charges on the school’s credit card.
Kathleen M. Broadhead, who was represented by Lawyer Robert Bissett, appeared in Lethbridge Provincial Court and pleaded guilty to one count of theft over $5,000 – as the Crown read out the circumstances in which the offence occurred.
According to the Agreed Statement of Facts, on August 16, 2018, Raymond RCMP received a complaint from Westwind School Division Superintendent Ken Sommerfeldt about cash that had gone missing.
